MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The men's and women's basketball teams host home openers on Wednesday, Nov. 15 as part of Barry University's Founders' Week celebration. The women host Florida Memorial at 5:30 pm with the men following against St. Thomas at 7:30 pm.

The Bucs (1-1) went 1-1 at the SSC/GSC Crossover to open the season. The Bucs fell to host Union, but bounced back to beat Delta State.
Kiara Palmer leads the Bucs in scoring (16.5), rebounding (6.5), blocked shots (4) and shooting (61.9%) again this season. She posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds against Delta. Ida Andersson chips in 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds and leads the team with four steals. Barbara Cousiño adds 12.0 ponits, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Florida Memorial is off to a great start this season, winning all four games, with three of them coming on the road. The game, which is a regular season game for the Bucs, is an exhibition for FMU.
Abreona Cabell leads the Lions with 18.5 points per game, shotting 37.5 percent from three-point range. Ashley Henry added a double-double at 16.0 points and 10.3 rebounds.

It's the season opener for the Bucs, although they scored a big 100-95 overtie win over Auburn in the exhibition season.
Sawyer Glick led the Bucs against Auburn with 33 points. Elvar Fridriksson added 26 points and eight assists and Daniel Mortensen came off the bench with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bobcats are 2-1, after winning their last two in a row over Virgin Islands and Edward Waters. The game, which is a regular season game for the Bucs, is an exhibition for STU.
The Bobcats have three players averaging double figures. Tim Sada leads the way with 14.7 points and is shooting 50.0 percent from three-point range (10-for-20). Antoine Joe scores 11.0 points per game and leads the team with nine steals. Fotios Malelis averages 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds.
