MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry snapped a five-game skid in a big way Saturday, beating Florida Tech, 25-17, 27-29, 25-21, 25-20.

SUMMARY:
- On a kill by Kishara Gordon, the Bucs jumped out to a 17-8 lead to start the match. Genesis Castillo's kill extended the lead to 23-12 before Florida Tech went on a 5-0 run. Jaeda Allen had back-to-back kills to wrap up the first set.
- Barry had 12 kills and six errors in the first set. Florida Tech had nine kills and nine errors.
- In the second set, the Bucs had 13 kills and 13 errors, while the Panthers had 10 kills and 11 errors. But Florida Tech overcame a 24-21 deficit by winning four straight points to take control. In a back-and-forth finish, the Panthers pulled away in extra serves to tie the match at 1-1.
- The Buccaneers trailed 8-3 in the third set, but tied it at 12-12 on a kill by Kristina Filimonova. Barry fell behind, 16-15, on a block by FIT's Samantha Reeves and Kiersten Rosa. But the Bucs responded with a kill from Filimonova to take a two-point lead. Florida Tech tied it at 20, but Castillo put down a setup from Johanna Voss to make it 22-20. Kills by Filimonova and Castillo ended the set to put Barry ahead, 2-1.
- Barry hit .311 in the third set with 19 kills and five errors.
- The Bucs broke a 10-10 tie in the fourth when Gordon put down a kill. Castillo pushed the lead to 18-12 with a putaway. Tech cut it to 21-18 on a block by Olivia Hersey and Kelly Germain. But Filimonova had two kills down the stretch to seal it.
- Barry scored 21 of its 25 points in the final set via kill.
NOTEWORTHY:.
- Tirabassi had a career-high 59 assists and 19 digs. She had 19 assists in the final set.
- Gordon, Filimonova and Allen each had 16 kills. Castillo had 11.
- Madison Yarborough had a career-high 15 digs, and Alexis Boutin had a season-best 20.
- Monica Martinez recorded her first two digs of the season.
