Bucs down Tampa in final

CLEARWATER, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers spilt the final day at the Eckerd Triton Softball Invitational on Sunday, falling 9-4 to Colorado Christian, but bouncing back with a big regional win over Sunshine State Conference rival Tampa 4-3.

Barry came back with a run in the bottom of the inning. Kayla Ogle led off with a triple down the left-field line and scored later on a passed ball by Spartan catcher Taylor Szostak.

Barry grabbed the lead for good in the second inning. Ogle drove in Ashley Fernandez, who had singled to trim the lead to 3-2. Sam Busekrus and Hunter Mars came home on an error by UT third baseman Bree Setree and the Bucs led 4-3.
