MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers look to snap a three-game skid when they visit the Bowman Center on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action.
The Bucs (2-4, 1-2 SSC) have been slowed by injuries the past few games, but have started to get more production from junior guards Barbara Cousiño and
Julia Paulin. Cousiño has topped 15 points in each of the last two games and is now third on the team in scoring at 8.8 points per game. Over the last three game, Paulin has chipped in 9.3 points per game.
The Lions (2-3, 0-1 SSC) are led by Chelsy Springs. The senior forward averages 11.0 points and 7.8 rebounds. Junior guard Mary Redmond chips in 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds.
The Bucs lead the all-time series 42-17, including 12 of the last 15. It's been closer in the Bowman Center, with the Bucs up just 15-12.
