WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Barry University Buccaneers came away with a 1-0 victory over the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish at the Rinker Athletic Campus on Saturday night in Sunshine State Conference women's soccer action.
Amanda Traynor scored an unassisted goal in the 30th minute and Paula Forero and the Buccaneer defense made it stand up as Barry ran its unbeaten streak to five games.
The Bucs (7-2-2, 4-2-1 SSC) dominated play, out-shooting the 'Fish 17-4, including 7-2 on goal.
Forero had two saves to post her fifth shutout of the season. Isabella Granlund had six saves for PBA (5-7-1, 1-4-1 SSC), but took the loss.
The Bucs travel to St. Petersburg, Fla., on Wednesday, Oct. 26 for a makeup date with the Eckerd Tritons, that had been postponed by Hurricane Matthew.
