MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers are hosting the Sharks of Nova Southeastern on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 6:00 pm.
The Bucs (7-3-0, 1-3-0 SSC) currently sit in the eight spot in the conference, while the Sharks (2-9-0, 0-6-0 SSC) are currently in last place thus far. Palm Beach Atlantic sit atop the conference standings, while Lynn takes the second spot, and Florida Tech sits in at third.
The Bucs, led by senior forward, Thomas Coombes, went through a tough three-game losing streak, but were able to snap that streak with a dismantling win against Auburn-Montgomery on Sunday. Barry was able to compile a total of seven goals during their previous match, and plan to continue to rack up even more in their upcoming conference matches.
The Sharks are led by Bestun Mohammed. Mohammed, a grad student midfielder, leads the team with four goals and eight points. Nova has been struggling to find the back of the net, as the team has only been able to score nine goals this season.
The Bucs shutout the Sharks with a 3-0 win in Davie last year and lead 17-10-4 all-time in the series between both teams.
