MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry women's basketball won in dominating fashion this holiday weekend as it defeated Johnson & Wales 86-46 on Saturday.
The Buccaneers exploded at the start, going on a 32-8 run in the first period and would stay on top for the rest of the game, never going below a double digit lead.
Four Bucs scored into the double digits with
Ines Kerin leading with 17 points.
Jackie Perez was second on the team with 14 points. The two players made a combined nine 3-pointers on the day, as well.
Amra Elezovic led the day with eight assists and
Kim Flournoy showed out with four blocks.
The win improves the Bucs to 4-2 while Johnson & Wales falls to 0-4.
Up next for Barry is a midweek Sunshine State Conference matchup with rivals Lynn at 5:30 PM on Wednesday.
