MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry women's basketball started the 2015-16 home schedule off with a bang as it defeated Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, 78-44.
The Buccaneers were dominate in all phases of the game leading throughout the contest and outshooting the Gallegos 44.8%-26.1%.
Amra Elezovic led the Bucs once again with a team-leading 20 points and 8 rebounds. 
Ines Kerin also had a standout day with 13 points, which included three 3-pointers, which was a team-high on the day.
The Bucs were also dominate on defense, forcing 24 turnovers, 14 of which were off steals. 
Irene Sanchez led the team with four.
Barry also held UPR-RP's leading scorer, Lizdania Marrero, to only 10 points.
The Bucs improve to 2-2 on the year, while the Gallegos remain winless at 0-3.
Up next for Barry is a mid-week matchup on Nov 25 against local rival, Florida Memorial at the Health and Sports Center. Game is slated to tip-off at 7 PM.
