Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla. – Barry women's basketball suffered their second straight loss Wednesday night, as they fell to conference rival, No.10 Rollins, 46-65.
The game saw the Bucs start out down by 13 before scoring their first points and they were never able to gain the lead.
A combination of poor shooting (39.3% from the field) and 21 turnovers put the Bucs in a hole they could not recover from and that led to their record dropping to 8-5, 1-2 SSC.
Highlights of the night for Barry however, came in the form of junior guard
Jackie Perez's game-leading 16 points that included four 3-pointers.
Perez,
Amra Elezovic and
Kaylia Richardson tying for a team-leading six rebounds. Richardson, a senior guard, had a noteworthy 12 points on the night.
Rollins had all but one player score tonight, with senior guards Ashley Losch and Emmalee Schill scoring 14 and 12, respectively. Schill was also tied for first on her team in assists with four.
Fellow senior guard Sarah Taylor led Rollins in rebounds with seven.
Up next for Barry is a home game versus local rivals Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, January 10
th at 2:00 PM.
