MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Former First-Team All-American, and member of the 2007 Barry University Men’s Golf Championship team, Piri Borja will put his golf skills and wallet on the line as he competes in the Golf Channel’s Big Break television show.
The Big Break is a Golf Channel reality television program. The show's premise is to award an aspiring professional golfer exemptions into selected events on certain tours and more than $50,000 in winnings. The series debuted on October 6, 2003, and has become very popular, now in its 15th season.
The show features elimination challenges centered around skills and match play as players try to become the final contestant and ultimate winner.
Borja will compete alongside 10 other golfers, all of whom have collegiate or professional experience, including Robert Floyd, son of legendary PGA golfer Raymond Floyd. This season’s competitors will play at the Indian Wells Golf Resort in Palm Springs County, California.
