MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Bobby Riley tossed a complete-game shutout and
Alex Meneses went four-for-five as the Barry Buccaneers flogged the Felician Golden Falcons 7-0 at Feinbloom Field on Wednesday night.
Riley (2-0) making just his second start of the season, went the distance, holding the Falcons (3-5) to just four hits and two walks, while striking out a career-high 10.
Meneses got the Bucs (13-6) on the board in the third inning, when he singled and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Cesar Aranguren.
In the fourth, Meneses added an RBI double, then capped off the Bucs' four-run fifth inning with a run-scoring single.
Bobby Hartney added a two-run double in the fifth.
Kevin Graham (1-1) took the loss for the Falcons. He allowed four runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks, with one strike out in 4.2 innings.
The Bucs open Sunshine State Conference play this weekend against the Nova Southeastern Sharks. Friday's single game starts at 6:00 pm, with the Saturday doubleheader slated for 1:00 pm.
