MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Mike Davila tossed a complete-game to lead the Barry Buccaneers over the Bloomfield Deacons 4-1 at Feinbloom Field Wednesday night.
Davila (2-2) limited the Deacons (2-10) to six hits and two walks. He gave up one run and struck out two.
In the sixth inning, Bloomfield's Lino Mariot led off the top of the inning with a single and scored on a double to right center by Web Zachary to knot the game at 1-1.
Barry got the run back in the bottom of the inning.
Cesar Aranguren led off with a double and scored one out later on a triple by
Gabriel Casanova.
Danny Aguiar drove in Casanova with single to give the Bucs a 3-1 lead.
Ricky Maldonado (0-1) took the loss for the Deacons. He allowed four runs on nine hits and a walk, striking out in 6.1 innings.
The Bucs finish a 23-game homestand on Thursday, Mar. 16, hosting the Adelphi Panthers at 6:00 pm.
