MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Florida Tech Panthers defeated the Barry Buccaneers 13-5 in Sunshine State Conference baseball action at Feinbloom Field Friday night.
Alex Meneses and
Ricky Sanchez each had two hits to lead the Buccaneers at the plate. Jonathan Baksh rapped out four hits, scored three runs and drove in two, while Bubba DiFabio added three hits and five RBI to lead the Panthers.
Alex (7-3) Gonzalez took the loss for the Bucs, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks, while striking out six. Jay Crouse (7-3) came within one out of completing his third game of the season, surrendering all five runs (four earned) on eight hits and five walks with five strikeouts.
The Bucs fall to 26-20, 5-11 in the SSC, the Panthers improve to 27-20, 9-10 in the conference.
The SSC series concludes on Saturday at 1:00 pm with a doubleheader.
