ST. LEO, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers defeated the Eckerd Tritons 20-3 in the consolation game of the 2005 Bob Tewksbury Classic at Saint Leo University's Thomas B. Southard Stadium on Sunday.
The Tritons (5-9) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning, as Sam DeVito drove in Pat Bordieri, who had walked, with a single.
But the Bucs (8-5) exploded for eight runs on six hits in the third inning, aided by two errors from the Tritons. Alex Brizeula's three-run homer, his first of the season, was the big blow.
Barry added two runs in the fourth and five each in the sixth and eighth to post a season-high in hits and runs. Brizuela led the attack with four hits in four at-bats, including the homer and a double, driving in five.
Cesar Aranguren added three hits and three RBI, while

DeVito went three-for-four, adding a solo homer, to account for both Triton runs.
