ST. LEO, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers proved unlucky facing the Lynn Fighting Knights as Lynn strolled away with a 13-6 win on Friday night in the first round of the Bob Tewksbury Classic hosted by Saint Leo.

The Knights (3-5) struck for six runs in the second inning off Barry starter Jayson Brown (1-1). Tommy Tickenoff hit a solo homer to lead off the inning and Raymond Perez belted a three-run shot to cap it.

The Knights tacked on five more runs in the fourth inning. Donovan O'Dowd and Dave Burns each drove in a pair of runs in the frame.

The Bucs (6-4) finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Brian Lima singled with the bases loaded to drive in two. Ricky Sanchez added his fifth home run of the season for the Bucs in the sixth and Fausto Faraldo had a two-run double in the eighth.

Danny Eihlers (2-0) earned the win for the Knights, tossing seven innings and allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out 10. Brown allowed six runs on four hits and two walks, striking out three in 1.1 innings.

Faraldo scored twice to go along with his two RBI. Perez led the knights with three hits, three runs and three RBI. O'Dowd added four RBI on two hits.

The Bucs face Eckerd at 1:00 pm and the host Lions at 7:00 pm on Saturday.
