MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry men's basketball team crushed the Florida Memorial Lions 91-63 in the Health & Sports Center Tuesday night behind 18 points from Melvin Triche.

The Bucs (5-1) jumped out to a quick lead, 15-8, in the first six minutes and went on to a 41-27 halftime lead. Triche had 11 points and Clifford Smith added 10.

In the second half, the Bucs stretched out the lead to over 30 points several times, including a high of 33 points at 91-58 with :51 seconds to play. Sean Banks scored five points in the last minutes for the Lions (2-7) to close the gap to the final margin.

Smith backed up Triche with 13 points and Amadou Fall had 16. Banks led the Lions with 22 points, while AJ Zollicoffer had 11.

The Bucs will play the Webber International Warriors on Friday, Dec. 3 at 4:00 pm at BCC's George Mayer Gym. The game has been moved from the Buccaneers' Health & Sports Center due to the NCAA Division II National Volleyball Tournament at Barry.
