Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers stymied the Montevallo Falcons 3-0 in men's soccer action at Buccaneer Field Friday night.

The jumped in front 1-0 at the 38:24 mark. Avi Scabini knocked in a direct kick from 18 yards out to give Barry (3-2-2) a 1-0 at the half.

Frustration set in for the Falcons in the second half. Esteban Suarez Lima was ejected for striking at the 58:48 mark. The Buccaneers made them pay as Thiago Vasconcelos, playing in his first game of the season, fed Fitzgerald Clarke at the top of the penalty box and Clarke maneuvered around Falcon keeper Raven Keet to score into an empty net.

The Falcons (2-3-2) went down another man at the 66:18 mark when Juan Pablo Repetto was whistled for a cleats-high tackle. Again the Bucs made them pay. Dan Levy fed Scabini on the wing and he pulled Keet off his line and slotted a shot past him.

Keet kept the game closer than it could have been, making nine saves. Ido Langer had four saves for the Bucs before giving way to Andrey Bustamante for the final 16:46.

Barry hosts the 2003 "Battle of the Bucs" as Christian Brothers comes to town on Sunday, Sept. 21. The women's game is scheduled for 1:00 pm with the men's game to follow at 3:00 pm.
