Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Barry University women's basketball team fell to Florida Gulf Coast University 66-50 Friday night at Alico Arena.

Florida Gulf Coast (5-3) jumped out in front early on in the first half leading 14-7 at the 13:20 mark, however, the Bucs came storming back knotting the game at 20-20 with 8:43 to play in the half. Barry (2-4)eventually took the lead at 22-20, but could not hold on to it as Florida Gulf Coast took a 27-26 lead into the half.

The second half produced six lead changes before Florida Gulf Coast went on a 13-0 run to take a 47-37 lead with 8:53 to play. The Bucs eventually managed to cut the lead to 47-41, however, the Eagles put together another 15-6 run that put them out in front 62-47. Florida Gulf Coast then iced the victoy with solid free-throw shooting and held on to the 66-50 victory.

Florida Gulf Coasts Robyn Swain led all scorers with 21 points and Yashica Nesbit was the Bucs' leading scorer with 11 points.

The Bucs return to action next Dec. 14 at 4:00 pm when they host the Eagles in the Health & Sports Center.
