Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – The #2-seeded Barry University men's soccer team fell to top-seeded Lynn University 2-1 in the championship round of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament Sunday afternoon at McCusker Sportsplex.
Lynn (18-0-1) jumped out in front early on when Andrew Hirst took a cross from Fernando Villalobos and headed it passed Bucs keeper
Chris Rich to take the 1-0 lead at the 7:16 mark.
The Bucs (15-4-3) then responded in the 16th minute when
Ricardo Raposo blasted a direct kick from just outside the 18-yard box passed Lynn's Liam Bull to knot the game at 1-1. However, just minutes later Lynn's Hirst added his second goal of the game when he drove home a rebound that came off the right post to put the Knights back on top 2-1 heading into the half.
In the second half, despite strong efforts by both sides neither team was able to break through the opposing team's defense as Lynn held on for the 2-1 victory.
Bull picked up the victory in net for Lynn making 4 saves and Rich took the loss stopping 5 shots.

Ricardo Raposo were all named to the Sunshine State Conference All-Tournament team.
The Bucs must now wait until Monday to see whether or not they will be selected for the upcoming NCAA South Regional to be held next weekend at a site yet to be determined.
