Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers and Lynn Knights played another nail biter in men's soccer Saturday at the McCusker Sports Complex with the Knights claiming a 2-1 overtime victory in Shunshine State Conference action.
The Knights struck first, just five minutes into the game, when Chris Knox crossed a ball into the penalty box and Fernando Villalobos headed it home.
Barry (9-3-3, 3-1-0 SSC) evened the game in the 59th minute.
Ricardo Raposo pushed the ball up the right wing and fed
Fitzgerald Clarke who beat Knight keeper Liam Bull from 12 yards out.
The game remained scoreless through regulation, but just 2:44 into the first overtime period, Garthfield Whyte headed a ball over keeper
Ido Langer and the Buccaneer defense was unable to sweep it off the line in time.
Langer made two saves for Barry, while Bull did not stop a shot.
Barry hosted Florida Tech on Tuesday at Buccaneer Field at 7:00 pm.
