Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry men's soccer team slipped by the Nova Southeastern Knights 1-0 at Buccaneer Field Wednesday night.
Alen Marcina slotted the game-winner past a diving Jeremy Flint at the 84:13 mark after the teams had battled to a scoreless tie up till then.
"Honestly, it was not a good game," Barry coach
Steve McCrath said. "But we will have to take some time and go back to the drawing board a little bit. It was frustrating, one of those wins when you win, but you feel frustrated afterward."
Ron Goguen made four saves to rack up his fourth shutout of the season. Flint had three saves for the Knights.
"I think we played composed," Marcina said. "We didn't play our best game, but we played and did what it took to win the game. And we weren't overanxious to get a goal. We just stayed composed and put it out at the end."
Barry improves to 6-0-1, while Nova falls to 4-2-1.
