Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry women's basketball team fell 58-40 to the North Dakota Fighting Sioux Friday evening at the Health & Sports Center in the first round of the Comfort Inn "On the Beach" Thanksgiving Classic.

The Bucs led 13-9 with 7:26 left to play in the first half. But the Sioux, ranked third in the Division II Bulletin national porespondedoned with a 21-6 run to close the half at 30-19.

In the second half, the Bucs could get no closer than 11 points and trailed by as much as 23. Both teams played very tight defense, forcing 26 turnover each.

The Bucs (2-1) were led by Yashica Nesbit with 11 points, while Becky Moen and Jenny Boll each scored 15 for the Sioux (3-0).

The Classic resumes tomorrow with the Sioux facing Lees-McRae, 58-55 losers to Bemidji State, in the first game at 4:00 pm. Barry takes on Bemidji at 6:00 in the classic finale.
