Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The 16th ranked Barry University women's volleyball team squashed the Florida Tech Panthers 3-0 earlier tonight in Sunshine State Conference action. The Bucs dominated all three games 30-24, 30-22, and 30-17.
The Buccaneers fell behind early in game one of the match 4-2, but instantly rallied to regain the lead. The Bucs went on to win the first game 30-24.
In games two and three, the Bucs stellar offensive attack overpowered the Panthers as the Bucs cruised on to win the final two games 30-22 and 30-17.
Sarah Alexander posted her second consecutive dominating performance collecting a match-high 14 kills, while registering a blistering .462 attack percentage and eight blocks.
Kelly Dantas followed putting on an impressive show registering a .550 attack percentage with 13 kills and five blocks, while
Fernanda Ferreira and
Karla Bersano finished with 11 kills a piece. Ferreira, Bersano, and
Rochelle Magill each collected 11 digs.
Jenny Hart paced the Panthers with 13 kills and 13 digs.
The highly touted Buccaneer team dominated both offensively and defensively registering a .351 team attack percentage to the Panthers .142 and tallying 14 total blocks to the Panthers three.
The Buccaneers improved to 17-7 overall and 11-2 in the SSC, while the Panthers fell to 14-15, 3-10 in the SSC. The Bucs will wrap up their regular season on Saturday, Nov. 16 hosting Rollins at 12 noon.
