Box Score 2 The No. 4 Barry men's soccer team wrapped up another successful week and remained undefeated (3-0-0) with two victories over Nova Southeastern and Alabama-Huntsville.
Alen Marcina scored twice, including the game-winner with eight minutes remaining, as Barry defeated Nova Southeastern 2-1 at Buccaneer Field Wednesday afternoon.
Marcina put the Bucs up 1-0 at the 17:37 mark with an unassisted goal.
Nova's Glenn Hollister knotted the match at 1-1 at the 54:40 mark with assists from Carlos Cadena and Rafael Ferriero. With 7:57 remaining, Marcina stripped the ball away from Nova keeper Jeremy Flint in the box and fired a shot into the top left corner.
Barry traveled to Jacksonville on Saturday to take on Alabama-Huntsville at the University of North Florida. Marcina had his second-straight game-winning goal as the Buccaneers defeated the Chargers 3-2.
The Buccaneers next face St. Thomas on Tuesday from Buccaneer Field, then play host to Seattle Pacific on Friday at 4 p.m. and Southern Connecticut State on Saturday at 7 p.m.
