Box Score FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Barry University men's soccer team continued earlier tonight in winning fashion jousting the Nova Southeastern Fighting Knights 2-0.
In the first half, the Fighting Knights held a one shot advantage over the Buccaneers 5-4. However, the Buccaneers were able to carry a 1-0 lead into halftime after a free kick from
Marco Velez in the deep right corner that was deflected by a defender in the wrong direction for an own goal at 41:03.
With tempers starting to flare, play became more heated with four of five yellow cards issued in the second half. At the 59:33 mark, defender
Greg Jehs was the only Buccaneer to score a goal sending a screamer past the goalie giving the Bucs a 2-0 lift.
Fitzgerald Clarke added the assist.
After being down in the first half, the Buccaneers came back and took a 13 to 9 shot advantage for the game. The Bucs were also called for 22 fouls to the Fighting Knights 13.

Ron Goguen also snagged three saves for the Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers improved to 13-1-3 while the Fighting Knights fell to 12-4-3. The Buccaneers will return to action facing off with Rollins on Saturday, November 3rd on the road at 7:00 p.m.
