Barry University Athletics

Emma Harclerode joined the Barry University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in fall 2026 as a graduate assistant for academic success and support. In this role, she works closely with student athletes to promote academic achievement, monitor academic progress, supervise study hall, and provide individualized support and resources to help student-athletes succeed both in the classroom and beyond.

As the graduate assistant, Harclerode works closely with the academic success team, helping create an environment that supports student athletes in reaching their academic goals while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics.

Harclerode graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Vincent College in Vermont in December 2025. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport, exercise, and performance psychology at Barry University.

A former NCAA Division II volleyball student-athlete, Harclerode earned four letters with the Bearcats. Thus she is intimately familiar with the delicate balancing process that collegiate student-athletes need to employ for academic and athletic success.
