Darby McDevitt

Darby McDevitt joined the Barry University staff as a graduate assistant strength & conditioning Coach while pursuing her master's degree in kinesiology with a specialization in sport psychology in the fall of 2026. Originally from Idaho, McDevitt brings a background in collegiate athletics, strength & conditioning, leadership development, and applied exercise science.

A former collegiate soccer player, McDevitt has worked with athletes ranging from youth to collegiate athletes. Prior to joining Barry, she served as a strength & conditioning coach at OFFTHEFIELD in Boise, Idaho. 

McDevitt's coaching philosophy centers on developing the whole athlete. She believes performance is built through consistent effort, accountability, resilience, and purposeful training. Her goal is to help athletes maximize their potential while developing the habits, confidence, and character necessary for success both in sport and in life.

Outside of coaching, McDevitt enjoys trail running, hiking, strength training, and spending time outdoors. As a former collegiate athlete, she is passionate about helping student-athletes grow as competitors, leaders, and individuals.
