Delilah Zapata enters her first year as the athletic communications graduate assistant at Barry, after working on the student crew for four years.
Before Barry, she spent the spring of 2025 as an intern at The Fenix Collective as a researcher and media representative completing her capstone internship. While working at the Fenix Collective she helped collect insight on partnering companies as well as collecting and contacting different major league teams for partnering and running the social media account.
Delilah received her bachelor in sports management from Barry University in summer of 2025. She was the president of the Sport Management Club.
In her time at Barry, she also volunteered at a school for special needs children helping them learn and play various sports. She served as one of the top statisticians for the athletic department working with men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball and the softball and baseball teams. She also worked as a free-lance statistician for the Miami Hurricanes baseball team.
Before becoming a student at Barry, Delilah played basketball, softball, and track all throughout her high school career.
Delilah is pursuing a Master’s of Science degree in sports management from Barry and currently resides in Miami Shores, Fla.
