Priscilla Jensen

Priscilla Jensen joined the women's tennis staff in the spring of 2021. This is her fourth season with the Bucs.

Jensen came to Barry after serving two seasons as the head coach at Fresno Pacific, where she re-started the program in 2019 after it was discontinued in 2014. In two seasons with the Sunbirds, she led them to a 24-5 record, reaching a D-II ITA ranking of 19 in 2020 prior to the season being canceled due to the pandemic. FPU collected a bevy of honors under Jensen, including the ITA West Region Community Service Award, the ITA All-Academic Team Award, four All-PacWest Conference selections, and the PacWest Freshman of the Year.

Jensen was the ITA coach of the year and conference coach of the year in 2017. Prior to FPU, Jensen started the tennis programs at San Diego Christian College, coaching both men's & women's teams. In four seasons with the Hawks, Jensen has coached two conference championship teams and produced 24 All-Americans. SDC claimed the GSAC Player of the Year, while the women's team ranking climbed as high as fifth in the national poll and the men's team at sixth. The Hawks have also demonstrated success away from the court under Jensen's direction, claiming three Champions of Character Awards and an ITA Community Service & Outreach Award. Academically, Jensen's teams have received 10 ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, while the women's program has claimed the highest team GPA in the department in each of the last three years.

She has served on the UTR committee, was chair of the GSAC conference, the ITA national ruling committee, the ITA national operating committee, and the ITA awards chair.

A native of the Netherlands, Jensen attended Biola University, where she was seeded #1 in singles and doubles while also playing as a forward on the Eagles' soccer team. She received her degree in intercultural studies in 1997 while minoring in radio/TV/film before earning her master of arts in intercultural studies and international business from Biola two years later. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Barry.

Jensen also teaches at Barry in the Communications Department.

She is married to Robert Jensen. The couple has a son, Skylar, and a dog, Bourbon.
