Josie Earnhardt

Josie Earnhardt joined the women’s basketball staff in the summer of 2023 as assistant coach after a five-year playing career.

She started at NCAA Division III Hiram in Ohio, where she played one season under coach Alexandra Dellas. She appeared in 26 games, averaging 8.5 points off the bench and shooting 32.5 percent from three-point range.

She transferred to NJCAA Spartanburg Methodist where she played under current Buccaneer coach Heather Macy. She helped lead the Pioneers to a 21-8 mark, averaging 15.3 points per game and hitting 111 three-pointers. While with the Pioneers, she also served as a student assistant, coordinating travel itineraries and equipment inventories.

She closed out her career at NCAA Division II North Georgia, under coach Buffie Burson. In 83 games, 61 starts, she averaged 9.2 points per game and shot 41.4 percent from three-point range. The Nighthawks advanced all the way to the final four in 2021-22, going 29-4.

Across her five years, she led her team to a 97-34 record, averaging 10.4 points and making 371 triples at a 38.6 percent rate.

Earnhardt graduated with two degrees from North Georgia, earning a B.S. in psychology in 2022 and a B.S. in criminal justice in 2023.

She briefly worked with Macy at Greensboro College before joining her in The Shores.
