Cherise Key

Cherise Key begins her second year at Barry University as a graduate student and her first on the woman’s basketball staff. She is pursuing her master’s degree in human performance with a specialization in biomechanics. In addition to coaching, Key is currently implementing a project analyzing biomechanical techniques of various basketball skills of the woman’s basketball team at Barry University. Key is expected to graduate in May 2019.

Key received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in May 2014. Her greatest achievement was becoming a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, engaging in her own independent research study.

Key, a 2010 graduate from Wyomissing Area High school, played basketball as a shooting guard and was named all-county. Additionally, Key qualified for the AAU girls’ travel basketball team, Lady Showtime, during her high school career. She also coached during girls’ basketball youth summer camp for two years.

Key hails from West Reading, Pa.
