Bria Brown joined the women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2026, after spending the previous season at Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia.
In her one season with the Senators, she helped develop Jahniya Marion as an All-Mountain East Conference Honorable Mention performer as a sophomore.
She arrived in Elkins after serving as an assistant coach at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla., where she worked with the Girl's Post-Grad, High School National, and Regional teams. Brown also led the junior varsity squad as head coach in her first season and played a key role in the development of guards through personalized skill plans focused on ball handling, shooting, and basketball IQ.
A former collegiate standout, Brown played from 2021 to 2024 at St. Thomas University in Miami, Fla., where she was a two-year team captain and earned Second-Team All-Conference honors. She was named the program's MVP during the 2023–24 season and was also recognized as Sun Conference Player of the Week.
Before that, she competed at Oak Hills Christian College (Minn.) in 2020–21, earning Second-Team All-Conference honors and twice receiving NCCAA Player of the Week recognition.
Brown earned a bachelor's degree in business management with a specialization in marketing from St. Thomas in 2024. Beyond the court, she brings experience in academic monitoring, recruiting, digital marketing, and event coordination. She has also worked with top-level recruits, including NCAA Division I and elite high school prospects.
A native of Tampa, Fla., Brown brings a strong commitment to player development, leadership, and team culture to the Buccaneer women's basketball program.
