Rhodes Conroy joined the men's lacrosse staff in the summer of 2026, becoming the first assistant in program history.
He comes to The Shores from Lander in South Carolina, where he served as a graduate assistant for the Bearcats from August of 2025 through the 2026 season. He designed and implemented offensive schemes that have resulted in a 34.3 percent offensive efficiency (6th nationally) through 11 games and assisted with practice planning, film breakdown, in-game strategy and opponent scouting. He provided mentorship to student-athletes with an emphasis on character/player development, actionable feedback, accountability, personal and team goal setting.
Prior to and concurrently with Lander, he worked during the summers with BJ's Bandits lacrosse club out of Kalamazoo, Mich., in the summers of 2021 through 2025. As the head coach of the U12, U14 and Varsity U18 squads, he led the team selection process, development of practice plans, scouting opponents and game strategy preparation. He focused on player development and made every effort to pass along and instill a passion for the game of lacrosse to the players.
A four-year starter at Lincoln Memorial University, serving as a three-year Team Captain, he finished tied for second all-time in program scoring with 182 career points, including 128 goals and 54 assists in 61 games played.
