James Conley, III joined the coaching staff in the fall of 2024.

A 2010 graduate of Montana State in liberal arts, Conley spent two seasons running professionally in Europe, first with NIKE TSV Wattenscheid and then with Asics Team in Germany.

He has served as an assistant track coach at South Dade High, Miami Southridge Senior High, John A. Ferguson High, Westminster Christian, Gulliver Prep and Keys Gate Charter. He has led his teams to numerous district and regional titles.

In addition to Montana State, he attended the ALITIS World Athlete Training Center in Phoenix, Ariz., learning along with some of the top coaches in the world, including Dan Pfaff, Stu McMillian, Greg Hull, and Chidi Enyia.
