Sasha Ameri

Sasha Ameri began serving as team manager prior to the 2014-15 season.

A Toronto, Canada, native, Ameri played under and worked with Phil Dixon and Bob Maydo, who coached and played for the Canadian National Team. Ameri assisted Dixon's HoopSkool camps as a coach. He also helped coach his junior varsity and girls teams in his school.

While being recruited by other schools, Ameri elected to make the transition from basketball to track & field, following an injury that prevented him from playing in his first year at the University of Waterloo. In track, he made two appearances at the OUA Provincial Championships in three years, while specializing in multi-events.

Ameri graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor's degree in business and law in 2014. He is pursuing a master's degree in sport management from Barry.
