Cody Stephens joined the men's basketball coaching staff in August 2015. He is responsible for administrative and some player development duties.
Stephens has worked for the Rising Stars Basketball Academy, and has worked team camps at The Citadel (S.C.), East Carolina University and Barry University.
Stephens played at Averett University, an NCAA Division III school in Danville, Virginia, from 2013-15. He averaged 10.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a senior, helping lead the Cougars to the USA South Conference regular season title behind an 18-9 overall, 11-3 record. As a junior, he scored 8.6 points and grabbed 5.8 rebounds. He earned academic all-conference honors, and was named USA South Player of the Week once.Â
Prior to Averett, Stephens played two seasons at Palm Beach State College from 2011-13, helping the Panthers put together a 55-8 record.
Stephens earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from Averett in 2015.
