HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Linn-Mar High, where he lettered four years as a swimmer for the Lions, and currently holds three school records … Played two years of baseball under Chad Lechner ... As a senior, hit .383 with two triples and six doubles … Tossed 44 innings and amassed 88 strikeouts to go along with a 1.34 ERA … Finished with a 7-3 overall record and two saves … Fanned over 180 batters in his high school career … Played summer baseball with the Chi-Town Cream in 2013 … Earned multiple all-conference and all-metro selections in baseball and swimming … Received All-State honors in swimming.
