Had three complete games in 11 starts ... In 61.1 innings, struck out 60 and walked 52 ... Posted a 7.78 ERA ... Struckout a career-high nine in a 5-3 complete game win over Bluefield State on Feb. 17 ... Was also named Freshman of the Year on the golf team ... Made the honor roll both semesters ... Also hit .286 in 49 at-bats with a homer and four RBI.

HIGH SCHOOL: Threw 6.0 innings in seven appearances for coach Tom Duffin's Spartans as they went 24-6 and won the 5A District 15 title ... Struck out six and walked seven.
