Kiara Hill

Kiara Hill serves as one of the graduate assistants in academic support services with Barry University athletics for 2014-15.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Spelman College, Hill returned from Atlanta to her hometown of San Diego where she worked as a teacher and private tutor. During this time, she also conducted research with the NYU College of Dentistry Department of Epidemiology.

Hill initially joined the Buccaneer staff in 2013 as an HPLS tutor assisting students in science and mathematics coursework. Enrollment in the Barry Biomedical Sciences Masters program led to her current position as a graduate assistant for the department of academic success and support services.

The academic support graduate assistant provides assistance to the HPLS Coordinator in the daily administration of policies, systems, services, and activities associated with the academic progress and support of Barry University’s student-athletes. Barry Athletics includes approximately 200 student-athletes competing in NCAA Division II and within the Sunshine State Conference. The position also provides assistance with HPLS Student Success initiatives for HPLS majors.
