While the Buccaneers did not join the Sunshine State Conference until 1988-89, 15 years after the founding of the conference, they have been among the leaders in women’s athletics since that time.
Barry has won 41 conference titles, placing third behind charter members Florida Southern and Tampa. The Bucs have won the SSC Mayor’s Cup for women five times (1990-91, 1996-97, 1999-00, 2001-02, 2005-06). The Bucs are the only school in the conference to have at least one title in every sport they offer.
