Barry's on-campus Health & Sports Center, which opened in December of 1990, provides the home court for the volleyball team, as well as the men's and women's basketball squads. The Center includes a 1,500-seat gymnasium, a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning room, human performance lab, locker rooms, and meeting rooms.
The gymnasium in the Health & Sports Center features an all-wood floor, creating a quality surface for the fast-paced action of college volleyball and basketball. The Center also includes lighted advertising tables used by the official scorer, the statistical crew and the media. The athletic training room is located just outside the gymnasium and is operated by Barry's certified staff and student trainers.
Offices for the School of Human Performance & Leisure Sciences, which includes the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Department of Sport & Exercise Sciences, are also located in the Health & Sports Center.
Since the 1990-91 season - Barry's first in the Health & Sports Center - the women's basketball team owns a 256-164 (.609) home record through the 2017-18 season. The Buccaneers went 14-1 in 1990-91, their first year in the building, and also in 1999-2000.
The HSC has hosted games broadcast on ESPN3 and CBS Sports Network.
