GULFPORT, Fla. -- The Barry University women's golf team opened up the season with an impressive showing at the Eckerd Invitational, finishing first out of the 11 teams in attendance. The Bucs finished over several SSC opponents including Saint Leo, Tampa, Nova Southeastern, Eckerd, Lynn, Palm Beach Atlantic, and Embry-Riddle. This is the first time since the 2018-19 season that Bucs opened the season up with a win and this is head coach Braydon Bennett's first time opening up the season with win.
Leonie Sinnhuber led the team, finishing in first place with scores of 71-70-75—216 (E), while Tereza Zavrelova was second for the Bucs, finishing tied for 5th place with scores of 75-75-72--222 (+6). In addition to having two top five finishers all of the Bucs finished within the top 20 out of 73 participants.
