MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry head soccer coach Petsa Ivanovic has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming fall season. The Bucs have 14 games this fall, with five being home away from home games due to Buccaneer Field being under construction.

The Bucs will utilize other facilities for the "home" games, including Spartan Stadium at Monsignor Pace High in Miami Gardens, Fla.

"In terms of the schedule and playing all of our games away from Barry this season, we are fortunate to only have five home games this fall, so I believe our guys will be able to handle the challenge," Ivanovic said, "and most importantly, we will play four of those games at the same facility so there will be some consistency in terms of having a "home" field away from campus. The unfortunate part is that we lose some of our campus crowd and support, but we are hoping that they will make an effort to come out to our off campus location."

After three exhibition matches to prepare the team, the season kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 27 on the road against the North Georgia Nighthawks in Dahlonega, Ga. It's the first meeting between teams since 2016, when the Bucs won 4-2. Barry holds an overall record of 3-1-2 against North Georgia. The Nighthawks went 10-5-5 with a Peach Belt Conference Championship game appearance last season.

The Buccaneers travel to Morrow, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 29 to take on Clayton State. Last season's match ended in a 1-1 tie, knotting the overall record at 2-2-2. The Lakers went 8-8-4 last season, falling in the Peach Belt Conference Championship Semifinals to North Georgia.

Barry travels to St. Augustine, Fla., to take on back-to-back Peach Belt Conference Champion Flager, coached by former Buccaneer star Thomas Coombes on Saturday, Sept. 5. The overall record sits at 4-4-2, after last season's match ended with a 2-2 tie. Flager went 15-3-6 last season, making an NCAA Division II Quarterfinal appearance.

The final game before conference play comes against Florida Memorial in Miami Gardens, Fla., on Saturday, Sept. 12. Barry won last season's meeting 5-0, pushing their overall record to 7-1 against the Lions. FMU went 7-8-3 last season, making the Sun Conference tournament.

Conference play begins with the Buccaneers traveling to West Palm Beach, Fla., to face off with Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday, Sept 16. The Sailfish had the upper hand last season winning 3-1, but overall, the Buccaneers have a 21-9-1 record over the 'Fish. PBA went 13-3-2 last season, falling in the conference semifinals but making the NCAA tournament.

 The first home game of the season is on Saturday Sept. 19 against Embry-Riddle. The game will be played in Miami Gardens, Fla., at Spartan Stadium. Barry has won five of the last six against the Eagles, including a 2-1 win last season. The overall record now stands at 7-1-3 for the Buccaneers.

Barry travels to Davie, Fla., to take on cross-town rival Nova Southeastern on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Bucs won the meeting last season 3-0, putting the overall record over the Sharks to 23-17-4. NSU went 8-4-3 last season making the conference tournament.

On Saturday, Sept. 26 the Buccaneers take on Tampa in Miami Gardens, Fla., ironically at Spartan Stadium at Pace High. The UT Spartans took the meeting last season 2-1, leaving the Spartans with a 26-17-3 record in the series. Tampa went 6-5-4 last season, missing out on the conference tournament.

The first of back-to-back road games takes place in St. Leo, Fla., on Saturday, Oct. 3 against the SLU Lions. The Buccaneers have a 25-14-4 overall record against the Lions after winning the meeting last season 2-1, with Martin Gasztos scoring the winner with just three seconds left in the game. Saint Leo finished 5-8-4 last season, making the conference tournament.

Barry is in Melbourne, Fla., on Wednesday, Oct. 7 for a meeting with Florida Tech. It's a conference tournament rematch as the Panthers eliminated Barry with a 2-1 win during the first round. The Buccaneers hold an overall record of 24-20-6 over Tech. The Panthers finished the season with an 8-3-8, falling in penalty kicks to the Lynn Knights, but making the NCAA tournament.

The Buccaneers take on the Rollins Tars on Saturday, Oct. 10 in Miami Gardens, Fla., at Spartan Stadium. Last season's meeting ended in a 2-2 tie. Barry now has an overall record of 21-24-4 with the Tars. Rollins went 14-5-5, finishing as conference runners-up and making the national championship game.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14 Barry takes on arch-rival Lynn. Last season's meeting went to the Fighting Knights with a 5-1 finish. The Bucs have an overall record of 14-29-8 against Lynn. The Fighting Knights went 15-2-2 last season, winning the Sunshine State Conference and making the third round of the NCAA tournament.

Barry travels to St. Petersburg, Fla., for a meeting with Eckerd on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The Bucs have won seven straight against Eckerd, now holding an overall record of 31-12-2. The Tritons went 3-8-5 last season, missing out on the conference tournament.

The season wraps up with a game against Florida Southern on Saturday, Oct. 24. The game is planned to be the opening of the new on-campus Buccaneer Field. Despite a 2-1 loss to the Mocs last season, Barry has a 29-10-3 overall record. Florida Southern went 6-9-2 last season, sneaking into the conference tournament.

The SSC tournament begins on Monday, Nov. 2 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 8, with NCAA tournament bids coming afterwards.
