MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Women's basketball added another point guard in freshman Breanna Custodio, head coach Allison Bustamante announced on Wednesday.

"Breanna earned every bit of this opportunity through her work ethic, attention to detail, and consistency throughout the recruiting process," Bustamante said. "She represents the type of person and competitor we want in our program, and we're excited to welcome her to Barry."

Custodio played briefly at Palm Beach State last season, appearing in four games and averaging 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. As a senior at Seminole Ridge High, she led the 17-3 Hawks to a district championship, averaging 11.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists. She shot 86 percent from the line and led the team with 34 three-pointers.

"The reason I chose Barry University is because I see the potential I have to grow both academically and athletically because of the environment and energy the school carries," Custodio said. "The coaches gave me an opportunity to prove myself, and I am extremely grateful for the belief they have shown in me. I am very prepared for this next chapter because I know I will learn so much from those around me, compete at the next level, build new relationships, and continue becoming the best version of myself."

The Bucs are looking to get back to the Sunshine State Conference Tournament in 2026-27.
