FRISCO, Texas – The 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was announced today with 1,551 women's collegiate golfers, including four Barry Buccaneers, recognized with this prestigious honor.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:
- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
- Have played in 50 percent of the school's regularly scheduled competitive round during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
The four Bucs are Candela Clemente, Lexi Milbrandt, Leonie Sinnhuber and Tereza Zavrelova.
Clemente was a senior with a 3.921 GPA in finance. The Argentinian had a 77.1 scoring average and played in all 34 rounds for the Buccaneers this season. She helped the team as they made a postseason run that had them finish with a ranking of 12 and at the NCAA National Championship. Clemente was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll twice.
Milbrandt, a freshman from Hilton Head, S.C., compiled a 3.51 GPA in psychology. The rookie played in nine tournaments, averaging 75.7 strokes per round across 26 rounds. She had one top-10 finish, finishing eighth at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, as the Bucs won the team title.
Sinnhuber, a junior who returned after a year's absence after surgery, has a 3.663 GPA in management. The Stratzing, Austria native holds a 3.66 GPA while majoring in marketing. Sinnhuber also had a record year being named a WGCA First Team All-American and finished in the top-10 at the NCAA National Championship to be named to the All-Tournament team. The Austria-native finished the season ranked 11th in the nation.
Zavrelova, a junior from Drasov, Czech Republic who was also named a First-Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators, has a 4.0 GPA with a dual major in international business and political science. Zavrelova had a record season finishing ranked eighth in the nation while leading the Bucs to their first final site appearance to 2023. The accolades continued to stack as she was named a WGCA First-Team All-American, WGCA All-South Region, Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, All-SSC First-Team, while also winning her first individual title and leading the team to two tournament wins.
