BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The No. 2-ranked Barry University men's tennis team made a powerful statement with a win over the No. 8-ranked Embry-Riddle Eagles, earning a 4-1 victory to secure their 21st overall Sunshine State Conference Championship. The Bucs reinforced their position at the top of the national rankings, displaying control and composure against one of the toughest conference teams. With the championship title, Barry not only adds to its program history but also clinches a spot in the NCAA Championship, where the men's team will aim to carry its momentum into another deep postseason run.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Rollins claimed the doubles point, taking the top and middle flights to grab an early 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
• Barry responded quickly, as Machado evened the score with a straight-set win on court four, defeating Stoiberer 6-2, 6-1.
• Kodjoed then gave the Bucs the advantage, battling past Gusic on court two with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. 
• Lynch continued the momentum on court three, cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Giacomo to put Barry within one point of clinching the match.
• Azoulay sealed the victory on court six, taking the first set 6-2 before edging out a tight second-set tiebreaker 7-6(5) against Tran.
• With the match secured, the remaining singles contests were left unfinished.
