MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers placed two on the Men's Tennis Academic All-District teams this season. Adam Lynch and Simone Cavalleri were both recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Lynch, a senior with a 4.0 GPA in computer science, is currently ranked 33rd in singles by the ITA. He is 13-1 on the season in singles and 15-2 in doubles, mostly with partner Thomas Machado. he has posted a 41-7 career mark in singles and 40-19 in doubles.
Cavalleri, a junior with a 3.86 GPA as a management major, is currently ranked 19th in doubles by the ITA with partner Riccardo Trione. Together they have a 10-5 mark at the #1 doubles flight. Cavalleri is 12-7 overall in doubles, with an 0-1 mark in singles.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams require players to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA as both a undergraduate and graduate student, as well as must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists, denoted with an asterisk*, advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 4, 2026.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
