MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry softball team opened up May with a loss in game one against Florida Tech to continue Sunshine State action. This opened a six-game home stint for the Buccaneers.

SUMMARY:
- B3 – Mya Tucker used her wheels to get the Bucs on the board. She had an infield single and then stole second to put herself into scoring position. Serah Shafer then had a sacrifice bunt to move her over to third. Saran Langlie drew a walk in the midst of stealing second, Tucker took off and stole home. | Barry 1, Florida Tech 0
- T5 – Florida Tech was able to break through for their first run, taking advantage of a one-out triple to right center. A groundout brought in the runner from third and tied the game up. | Barry 1, Florida Tech 1
- T8 – The Panthers went to work in extra innings taking advantage of two intentional walks and a bases loaded walk that opened the door. A bases clearing triple then added the next three runs. An RBI-single followed to cap off the five run inning. | Florida Tech 6, Barry 1
NOTEWORTHY:
- Tucker extends her hit streak to seven and on base streak to 19-straight.
- Langlie also extends her on base streak to seven.
- Alexis Martine had a great night in the circle through the first seven with four hits, an earned run, four strikeouts, and two walks.
