MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers took the opener of their Sunshine State Conference baseball series from the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 4-3 at Feinbloom Field on Friday Night.

- T1 - The Sailfish jumped out in front in the first inning off Barry starter Tyler Venegas (5-1). Trey MIranda and Jake McNamara each singled to start the game and MIranda later scored on a ground out. | PBA 1, Barry 0
- B2 - Barry tied it in the second. Anthony Tralongo walked to lead off the inning and stole second. He moved to third on a ground out and scored when Blake Opie stole second and PBA catcher Giancarlo Chantres threw the ball away at third. | Barry 1, PBA 1
- B3 - Barry took a lead in the third. After the Buc loaded the bases on a walk to Zavier Hatfield, an infield single from Lee-Anthony Santiago and a walk to Jalen Smith, Tralongo came up with the big hit, driving in two runs. | Barry 3, PBA 1

- B5 - Tralongo scored the winning run in the fifth. With two outs, he singled to left. Luca Mendez was hit by a pitch from PBA starter Jared Murray (1-5). Both runners moved up on one wild pitch, then Tralongo scored on a second one. | Barry 4, PBA 3
NOTEWORTHY:
- Venegas won in just his second start. He worked five innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks. He struck out four.
- Pavlos Piperakis worked the final four scoreless innings to earn his first save of the year. He allow just one hit and struck out six.
- Murray allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits and five walks in five innings.
- Tralongo accounted for all four runs for the Bucs, scoring twice and driving in the other two.
- Carter Parent went 2-for-2 with a walk for the Sailfish, while McNamara also had two hits.
