MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- On a Tuesday evening in Miami Shores a family feud took place on Cesar Odio Court as lead men's volleyball coach, Imanol Davila-Morales, welcomed his alma mater and father to the Health and Sports Center Gym. The Buccaneers took on the Warner Royals, where coach Davila-Morales played his collegiate career and graduated from and is where his father is the current head coach. It was the second time the teams matched up this season, and the result stood the same with Barry on top.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One – Aaron Martinez got the scoring started with a kill. Warner in turn though went on a 7-2 run to put a big dent on the scoreboard. After trailing 10-7 the Bucs kicked it into gear with four straight points to regain the lead. Jacob Strnisa had two kills, and two attack errors aided in the process. Warner worked their way back on top rolling off five-straight to make it 18-16. Zachary Jabr gave Barry back the advantage with a service ace. The Bucs closed it out with a 5-1 run to take the match lead, four of those points came off attack errors from the Royals. Martinez and Strnisa led the offense with eight kills each, Joao Piazza Baumgartem assisted on all 11 kills. | Barry 25, Warner 21
- Set Two – Warner jumped out in front first with a 4-1 opening in the first five points. The Bucs battled from behind and went on a run of their own after a 9-9 split with a 6-1 rally. That gap would carry though the match as Maddox Gifford gave Barry a two-set lead with the final kill. The Royals had 13 errors in the set, four coming off the Buccaneer block. | Barry 25, Warner 17
- Set Three – The third set was more close cut for Barry, after falling behind on first point they took a 7-1 lead that set the tone for the rest of the set. Strnisa closed out the match with the final kill. Nine attacking errors and five service errors from the Royals helped the Bucs as both teams struggled offensively. | Barry 25, Warner 17
NOTEWORTHY:
- Strnisa had his 15 double-digit kill match with 10.
- Martinez went 6-for-11 on swings with one error for a .455 clip.
- Jeremy Ferreira went 6-of-7 for a .714 swing average.
- Warner had more kills, but the Bucs led in every other category.
- It was Piazza Baumgartem's 11th match with 25 or more assists this season.
